Ergebnis	Die Inhibition der Androgensynthese durch den CYP17-IH Abirateron verlängert das Überleben von 10,9 auf 14,8 Monate .
Patienten	1195 Männer, die vorher Docetaxel erhalten haben.	Random:	797 Abirateron	398 Placebo
Abirateron	4x250mg täglich 1 Stunde vor oder 2 Stunden nach dem Essen, 5mg Prednison täglich. Behandlung bis zum Progress
Ergebnis	Mineralocorticoid-related adverse events, including fluid retention, hypertension, and hypokalemia, were more frequently reported in the abiraterone acetate–prednisone group than in the placebo–prednisone group. CONCLUSIONS The inhibition of androgen biosynthesis by abiraterone acetate prolonged overall survival among patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer who previously received chemotherapy.
