TTFields Tumor treating fields Elektrische Wechselfelder geringer Intensität mittlerer Frequenz
TTFields Vermindern oder Stoppen die Zellteilung von Glioblastom Zellen durch Unterbrechung des Teilungsmechanismus. Dieses führt zur Apoptose.
Die elektrischen Wechselfelder werden über Haut - Klebeflächen, sogenannte Transducer Arrays, an Stellen des Gehirns appliziert, wo das Glioblastom sitzt.

Die Transducer Arrays werden mit einem tragbaren Applikationsgerät verbunden.
